The Snuggy Hoods Sheath Cover provides targeted protection for the sheath area of geldings and stallions. It is ideal for horses needing extra coverage from flies, biting insects, UV rays, Sweet Itch and other skin conditions affecting this sensitive area.
Designed for use with the Snuggy Hoods Sweet Itch Rug or Bug Body, the Sheath Cover attaches securely with hook-and-loop fastenings and can be removed for washing when needed.
Important attachment information
Attachments are required to use this product.
Our rugs do not include udder, sheath or leg cover attachments as standard.
- If you buy the Sheath Cover on its own, you will receive an attachments pack containing Velcro and instructions showing how to machine sew the attachments onto your rug.
- If you plan to use the Sheath Cover with a rug other than a Snuggy Hoods Sweet Itch Rug or Bug Body, you must ensure that the rug has a well-fitting belly cover and is suitable for the required attachments to be machine sewn on.
- The Sheath Cover is intended for use with the Snuggy Hoods Sweet Itch Rug or Bug Body. It may also be used with certain other Snuggy Hoods rugs where suitable, but we cannot guarantee fit, attachment or effectiveness when used with any other rug design.
Udder Covers, Sheath Covers and Front Legs are all matched to the rug size. Please refer to the guide below:
Fitting advice - this product must be a close tight fit !! Straps must pull up between hind legs fastening high up either side the tail. If rug is either too long or straps are too long the sheath cover will collect urine/droppings.
